Danny Montemayor (b.1995, Quezon City, Philippines) is a documentary photographer who is based in Ojibwe land (North Chicago). He received his B.A. in Communication Studies from San Francisco State University. While not always storytelling per se, he uses images to make small talk, pose a question, and bring into focus aspects of everyday life. His approach to image-making is oriented toward feeling; whether still life or portraiture, the goal is capturing what’s emotionally surfacing from scenes and subjects.

His latest project is about Contra Loma, a regional park located in the East Bay Area, where he had lived for twenty years. The project is documentation as it is a letter to home, capturing and revisiting the park through the span of five years. The collection of landscape and natural still-life photography can be found on the portfolio page.
